Wine educator Jason Kallsen brings years of experience teaching people, from beginners to experts, about the joy of wine in fun, entertaining, informative, and surprising ways.

Experience matters! Jason is one of the most qualified wine presenters and educators in the upper midwest, and he knows through experience what goes into a great wine tasting. He was the original instructor for Surdyk's Liquors in 1998, and was instrumental in establishing their wine education classes that continue today. Clients include (beyond dozens of individuals for in-home tastings): Cargill, 3M, Hormel, Target Corporation, Deloitte, Ameriprise Financial, Minnesota Librarians Association, Kitchen Window, Let's Cook!, Solo Vino Wine Shop, many local doctors, attorneys, and scores of professional organizations. Since 2004 he's been in charge of wine instruction for the University of Minnesota's Compleat Scholar program, offering university-level classes to a highly educated cliental. Jason also leads the staff training for fifteen of the best restaurants in town. On top of that, he is featured at the Twin Cities Food and Wine Experience as a seminar presenter, and featured with Andrew Zimmern on FOX 9’s coverage of the event.
